Built a digital health platform from the ground up
Built almost the entire platform for a Senegal-based digital health company, including the health-insurance and payments experience at its center.
A Senegal-based digital health company set out to bring health services online for its market. We were the engineering team behind it — building almost the entire platform from the ground up, including the health-insurance and payments experience at its center.
The problem
Standing up a digital health platform in an emerging market means building nearly all of it yourself: there's no off-the-shelf stack to lean on, and the parts that touch health coverage and payments have to be correct and dependable from day one. They needed a partner who could own that build end to end, not just fill a gap on an existing team.
What we did
We acted as the core engineering team and built the platform from the ground up:
- Designed and built almost the entire platform, taking it from an early concept to a working product people could rely on.
- Engineered the health-insurance and payments experience at the center of it — the systems that handle coverage and move money, where correctness matters most.
The result
A digital health platform built end to end by a single engineering partner — taken from concept to launch in around 12 months and serving roughly 10,000 users, with the health-insurance and payments core engineered to be dependable from the start.
